Karin Oprishko began her role as a part time Accessibility Coordinator for Student Disability Services in February 2022. With the growth of Student Disability Services and students’ needs, Karin was moved to full time Accessibility Coordinator in October 2022. With the continued growth of the department, Karin was promoted to Assistant Director of Student Disability Services in December 2025. As the Assistant Director at Marywood University, Karin acts as a liaison for students with disabilities and various departments of the university to ensure accommodations and requests for such services are properly recorded and instituted in accordance with ADA guidelines. Karin ensures all students can reach their fullest potential by helping them utilize these resources throughout their academic careers. Prior to her employment at Marywood, Karin worked as an addiction’s therapist at Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services for 19 years focusing on adolescent addiction and DUI offenders. She earned her certification in 2008. She is also the owner of a photography business that focuses on infant, child and family photography. She has been a photographer for 12 years. Karin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University in 2002. Karin lives in Archbald with her husband George, daughter Madalyn and son Gavin. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and daily walks with her dog Crosby and cat Bodey.
